Rock solid.  When new, this house stood alone in a rocky field on the east side of town, and much of the stone in the structure came right from the land on which the house was built. A close inspection of this picture reveals that there are no close neighbors except for the outhouse in the back.  (Caption by Thomas Allen Kelley)
